Krooked Chronicle Issue #2
It has been a few months since we sent out our last newsletter. A lot has happened between now and then, but we are only going to touch on a few of the latest things going on in Louisiana's world of wakeboarding. Summer time is here and we hope everyone is riding, learning new tricks, and enjoying yourselves on the water. All of the Krookedminds crew sure
have been getting their time in behind the boat.
Louisiana Wakeboard Association
The Louisiana Wakeboard Association (LWA) has been kicked off and is now in full effect. The first tournament was held in Hammond, LA at Boat
City USA. The second event was held at Lazarre Point in West Monroe, LA. The next stop will be held July 6, 2002 at Bennett's Boat and Ski

Louisiana Spring Fling
LSF 2002 went off April 25 - 28, 2002 at Lazarre Point in West Monroe, LA. It was the biggest wakeboarding event Louisiana has seen yet. The new location was great and allowed the sponsors to bring in huge displays for everyone to browse through. The normal Spring Fling activities went on and that includes plenty of riding. Once again, Jeff and Robbie Southworth put on a great event and everyone had a wonderful time. Recent Site Updates
Krookedminds.com is growing more and more by the day. Some recent developments have been a post counter for the message board system, a
weather forecast search form and a new stats system. The post counter counts the number of post per day on the Wake Talk message board. This makes it even easier to know if there are any new messages from the last time you logged on to the site. The weather forecast search form is a direct link to weather.com that allows you to enter in your zip code and get a full weather report in a matter of seconds. This even includes a seven day forecast for finding the best days to hit the water. Lastly, our new stats system was implemented to give us more detailed reports on our site traffic. Our old system was not giving us accurate results, so we upgraded to a new system and we have been shocked at the number of visits Krookedminds.com has been getting daily.
The Wake Talk message board has been on fire lately. This season has been the first time that people are posting days ahead of time that they will be going riding and are looking for others to go with them. This was honestly the whole reason behind Krookedminds.com and it is awesome to see it finally happening. It took a little while for everyone to get used to looking on the internet to find people to wakeboard with, but they are finding out that it is easier than ever to catch a ride now.
We even have people logging on to the site that are coming to Louisiana on vacation or business and are asking to hook up with some local
boarders to ride with. That is truly an awesome site to see for us. We hope this kind of discussion continues for many more months to come.
